BSOP Slogan Competition

Topic: Belize Sustainable Ocean Plan (BSOP)

Eligibility:

1. The contest is open to individuals of all ages, including students, professionals, and general Belizean public.
2. Participants must adhere to the rules and guidelines set forth by the competition organizers.

Ineligibility of Family members:

1. Family members (including parents, siblings, spouses, and children) of individuals employed by or associated with the organization hosting the slogan competition are not eligible to participate in the competition. This rule is in place to ensure fairness and avoid any conflicts of interest.

Submission Guidelines:

1. Participant must be following at least one of BSOP social media platforms (Facebook, Youtube or Instagram) If participant is a minor and does not have social media, an adult can like or subscribe on their behalf.
2. Each participant may submit only one entry.
3. Slogan should be written in English and should not exceed a maximum of 6 words.
4. Proposed slogan must be accompanied by a short summary/explanation of submission not exceeding 100 words.
5. Submissions must be original and should not infringe upon any copyright or intellectual property rights.
6. Submissions will be judged on: Relevance to topic, clarity of message, creativity, originality, and impact of message.
7. Entries should be submitted electronically using the below form or via email at bsop@coastalzonebelize.org, before 25^th August 2023 at 4:30 p.m.

Intellectual Property:

1. By participating in the slogan competition, all participants acknowledge and agree that any slogan submitted becomes the sole and exclusive property of the competition organizers, regardless of whether it is selected as the winning slogan. The competition organizer has the right to use, modify and distribute the slogan for promotional and educational purposes related to the BSOP process.

Prize

1. A prize will be awarded to one winner based on the judging panel’s highest score.
2. The prize includes $1,000 BZD cash along with BSOP promotional merchandise.
3. Prize will be given to winner at CZMAI’s office in Belize City.

Announcement of winner:

1. The winner will be announced publicly through the BSOP Website, social media platforms, and other relevant BSOP communication channels.
2. The winner will be notified individually via email or other specified contact information provided.

Disqualification:

1. Entries that do not adhere to the submission guidelines or violate the terms and conditions will be disqualified.
2. Plagiarized or copyrighted material will be automatically disqualified.
3. Submission after given end date and time will not be considered for scoring.
4. Submissions must not include offensive or profane language.
5. Any entries submitted elsewhere besides official email or the below electronic form will not be judged.
